I read about a Hindu Legend recently, and it went something like this:
  At one time, all people on earth were gods, but they so sinned and abused the Divine that Brahma – the god of all gods – decided that the godhead should be taken away from people and hidden some place where they would never again find it to abuse it.
  “We will bury it deep in the earth,” said the other gods.
  “No,” said Brahma, “because people will dig down into the earth and find it.”
  “Then we will sink it in the deepest ocean,” they said.
  “No,” said Brahma, “because people will learn to dive and find it there, too.”
  “We will hide it on the highest mountain,” they said.
  “No,” said Brahma, “because people will someday climb every mountain on the earth and again capture the godhead.”
  “Then we do not know where to hide it so that people cannot find it,” said the lesser gods.
  “I will tell you,” said Brahma, “hide it down within people. They will never think to look there.”

  And that is what they did. Hidden deep within every man and woman is some of that divine. Ever since then, people have gone over the earth digging, diving and climbing, looking for that godlike quality which had been hidden within themselves all this time. So, the potential to change things is inside you. You must look inside and DARE to do things. Change starts with you. If you can’t change your circumstances and surroundings, then make the change within yourself as therein lies your success.
